Superintendent

Superintendent's Welcome

Greetings Concord Community,

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve as the superintendent of this amazing district. I look forward to having the opportunity to collaborate with the students, staff, and the entire community so that our students shatter expectations. The last four months have presented many obstacles, but I have seen our community come together as #ONEHIVE time and time again to preserve through whatever comes our way. This issue of The Sting highlights some of the outstanding work our staff was able to not only do but excel at. Our food service team flipped a switch and began serving food overnight. Teachers and the instructional support staff provided connection and instruction in an online format. Plus, graduation, the 8th-grade promotion ceremony, and the virtual art show offered our students the chance to shine.

I am very proud of the work our students and staff did this spring, and I am excited about the future. The district has brought several new staff members on board and their experience and certifications are going to add a lot to the programming available to our students. Plus, with kindergarten roundup August 4th and 5th, we will have a whole new crew of YellowJackets to welcome into the Hive.

We are working hard to finalize the district plans for the fall; while we do not have all of the details, the safety of our students and staff while providing a high-quality learning experience are a top priority for the board and administrative team. We will learn from the spring and get better. This fall is not about “bouncing back” It is about “bouncing forward” and keeping our district moving in the right direction.
