Our school is taking part in the Michigan Profile for Healthy Youth Survey supported by the Michigan Department of Education. Students will be asked to complete an online survey at a private computer terminal. Participation in the survey will cause little or no risk to any student. The only potential risk is that some students might find certain questions to be sensitive. The survey has been designed to protect each student’s privacy. Students will not be asked to provide their name or any other identifying information. Also, no school or student will ever be mentioned by name in any reported results. The results of this survey will help students in the future. We would like all selected students to take part in the survey, but the survey is voluntary. No action will be taken against the school, you, or the student if the student does not participate. Students can skip any question that they do not wish to answer. In addition, students may stop participating in the survey at any point without penalty.
The research survey will ask about the health behaviors of 7th, 9th, and 11th grade students. The survey will ask about behavior and attitude related to nutrition, physical activity, injuries, tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use. It will also ask about sexual behaviors that cause AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy.
The surveys are available at the school’s main office for your review from January 8th-19th. If you have any questions please contact our office staff or principal. The survey will take place on January 22nd, 2024.
If you object to your child’s participation in the survey, please complete the form sent home with your student today. You only need to return this form if you do not give your child permission to take the survey. Please turn into the MAIN OFFICE by 1/19/2024.
Please see the other side of this form for more facts about the survey. Thank you.

Concord Community Schools Transportation Department:
One of our students being recognized by transportation this month is Alyssa Lebron. Alyssa is currently a junior at Concord High School. She is very kind, helpful, patient, and sweet. She has been helping with the students on Miss Cristi's bus for three years. Her assistance on the bus seems natural as she is pursuing a career in Child Education at Jackson Area Career Center. Alyssa helps, redirects, comforts, and laughs with the many personalities on the bus. Her willingness to share her gadgets and toys to keep them quiet and engaged on their ride to and from school is much appreciated. Her calmness and skill shines as the students request her assistance on a multitude of issues that can and do arise daily. This highlights her professional attitude. Thank you, Alyssa, for being reliable, wonderful, and awesome!

Hey CHS fans!
We've got some exciting news to share with you all! Our very own Maddox Hutchinson and Riley Adams are gearing up to compete in the AAU National Cross Country Championship this Saturday at Florida State University. How amazing is that?
As they prepare to represent our school at such a high-level competition, let's show them our support and cheer them every step of the way. It's not every day that our students get the chance to participate in events like this, so let's make sure they feel our encouragement and enthusiasm.
Let's come together as a community and rally behind Maddox and Riley as they take on this incredible opportunity. We're so proud of them and can't wait to see them shine on the big stage. Go Maddox! Go Riley! You've got this! #CHSPride #AAUNationals
Due to icy back roads, Concord Community Schools will be running a two-hour delay on Monday, November 27, 2023. Buses will be picking up students two hours later than their regularly scheduled time.
