Attention Parents of Concord Athletes: We could really use some volunteer help in the concession stand. The money generated from concession goes back into our athletic programs. We would provide family, adult or student passes for those that can help on multiple occasions. If interested, contact Matt Lehman at matt.lehman@concordschools.net or 517-867-6004. Thank you!

Dear Concord Families, This morning, we worked with the police to conduct a deep investigation into the reported threat. Security camera footage was reviewed. Deputy Jacobsen completed interviews. He has concluded that there is not a credible threat to the students and staff at Concord and there was a false report filed through the Okay2Say system. With that conclusion, we will have the school open for afternoon and evening athletics along with the regular school schedule tomorrow. That said, we know these situations are unnerving. Thus, we will be taking extra precautions over the coming days. We will continue to monitor the situation. We have encouraged our staff to continue to focus on building relationships with our students. Being proactive is important and relationships are key. Additionally, we will have a police presence and more adults at the entrance of the buildings each morning. We have reiterated the process for reporting threats and managing emergencies to our staff. We are very grateful for the support of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, and we are grateful for our community. I know closing school is not ideal for anyone, so I appreciate your understanding as we completed the investigation.

We are pleased to inform you that Concord Community Schools will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the School Year 2022-23. The GREAT NEWS is that ALL students enrolled at our school can receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE to your household each day. In place of the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application we still need your household to fill out and sign the Household Information Report by clicking the guest link at: https://www.familyportal.cloud/. This report is critical in determining the amount of money that our school receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs like Title I A, At-risk (31a), Title II A, E-Rate, etc. These supplemental programs have the potential to offer support and services for our students including, but not limited to: ● Instructional support (staff, supplies & materials, etc.) ● Non-instructional services (counseling, social work, health services, etc.) ● Professional Learning for staff ● Parent and Community engagement supplies and activities ● Technology We are asking that you please complete and submit it as soon as possible to ensure that additional funding for our school is available to meet the needs of our students. All information on the report submitted is confidential. Without your assistance in completing and returning the attached report, our school cannot maximize the use of available State and Federal funds. If we can be of any further assistance, please contact Alan Breneman at (517) 990-3603. Sincerely, Alan Breneman Food Service Director alan.breneman@concordschools.net
