CHS students attended “Just Build It” Construction/Trade Career Fair at Eastern Michigan University. Students had opportunities to speak to professionals in a variety of trades including iron workers, electricians, plumbers, sheet metal workers, brick layers, and construction. Representatives were on hand from numerous unions, MDOT, and energy companies. University of Michigan, Northern Michigan University, and Eastern Michigan University also had representatives at the event. Students then had a chance to walk the EMU campus, visit admissions and the student center as well as see some of their facilities.

Reminder that tonight Concord High School is hosting Mario Nanos. Mario is a family man and entrepreneur in the healthcare field. His son, Yanni, died tragically in 2018 of a heroin overdose that began with his use of opioids. Please, come to Concord High School on October 16th at 6:30 p.m. to learn what Mr. Nanos learned about the signals a parent can miss in a young person who showed no signs of trouble. This is important information that will help us all be more aware and, hopefully, to avoid the loss of one of our students.
Congrats to our Boys' CC team and Skylar!
