The Full Metal Jackets, 5205, competed at the Michigan State Championship on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday. The team entered the tournament ranked 150th in the state. The first day was rough as the Jackets went 0-4 to start. 5205 was doing its job, but the competition was always one box ahead. The Jackets went into Friday with the resolve to fight and never give up. 5205 went 4-4 on the day, but had shown itself to be a versatile bot and a good teammate. They ended up being selected by the #1 alliance, and advancing to the Ford field finals before loosing to the eventual state champion team. Congratulations team 5205 on an excellent weekend, and qualifying for the First Championship in Detroit next week.
